Sage fried

Good morning💚❤ food lovers! Have u never tried this? I think not! This is a traditional north of Italy plate. It’s for most people considered poor’s recipe. Sage fried. Simply, tasteful, delicious. In my case super organic food because sage come directly from my garden! I love it!

Ingredients (servings 4)

  • 16 sage leaves
  • 2 eggs beaten
  • 2 cup bread crumb
  • salt, pepper
  • olive oil for frying 

Method

Wash well the sage leaves, beat the eggs and seasoning, put the leaves on to the eggs beaten , holding it above the bowl momentarily to allow any excess to drip off before transferring to the breadcrumb. Pat the crumb firmly onto the leaf using your hands and covering all over before once again shaking gently to remove any crumbs that have not completely stuck. Deep fry in a large saucepan.
